Mageina Tovah

Mageina Tovah - born July 26, 1979 in Honolulu, Hawaii - is an American actress who portrayed Molly Ackerman in the second season on ABC's Scandal.

Personal Background[]

She lived in Honolulu for a short time where her father was a US Army psychiatrist in the Greet Berets, and her mother was an Army physical therapist. Her family later settled in Clarksville, Tennessee and then moved to Nashville.

Mageina attended Martin Luther King Junior Magnet High School in Nashville, Tennessee. She skipped a year of high school, taking both her Junior year of honors English and Senior year of AP English at the same time. She graduated from high school at the age of 16. For college she started at The California Institute of the Arts, spending a year there in the BFA program. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from USC in three and half years with a Bachelors of Arts Theatre degree. She later moved to New York, then back California to live in Los Angeles.

Career Background[]

She is best known for her as Glynis Figliola in the television series Joan of Arcadia; as well as Ursula Ditkovich in the Spider-Man films. She has made numerous guest appearances on television shows and been in her fair share of feature films. Mageina also made an appearance in the Jonas Akerlund directed music video for Christina Aguilera's hit song "Beautiful".
