History[]
Both Jesse Tyler and Lindsay Dwyer worked at Cytron; Jesse was paid by Hollis Doyle to rig the voting machines in Defiance, Ohio. Verna Thornton, Hollis Doyle, Mellie Grant and Olivia Pope all agreed to rig the presidential election; which would allow Fitz Grant to win and become President of The United States of America.
After the election, Jesse demanded more money from Hollis but Hollis refused to give Jesse the amount of money he demanded. Instead, he framed Lindsay for an explosion that killed five of her work colleagues including Jesse. Olivia Pope felt guilty about Lindsay taking the fall for "Defiance" so she sent Huck to kidnap Lindsay, bring her to Washington D.C (using Verna's private jet), Olivia Pope & Associates changed Lindsay's name to Quinn Perkins and Olvia hired her as her new Gladiator.
